Steward's Report
Track Curator, Mr R Hamilton, advised Stewards that the track was deeply harrowed on Wednesday, 3 February 2016.
Well Spotted was quick to begin. Cullman was slow to begin. Calen and Norm's Wish collided soon after the start. Jack Eye Jim, Lektra Excess and Alera Bale collided soon after the start, checking Alera Bale and Lektra Excess. Cullman, Calen and Norm's Wish collided approaching the first turn severely checking Calen. Calen faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Norm's Wish and Lektra Excess collided entering the home straight.
Well Spotted was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Calen was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder, right thigh, left triangle and both back leg muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
