Stewards spoke to Mr D Chapman, the kennel representative of Destini Mermaid, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Destini Mermaid last raced on 30 November, 2016.  Mr Chapman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right metatarsal.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Willoughby, the kennel representative of Thunder Of Night, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Thunder Of Night last raced on 8 November, 2016.  Mr Willoughby stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left back muscle injury.  Mr Willoughby also declared a new weight of 32.7 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Thunder Of Night last raced at 33.8 kgs.
