A pre-race sample from Aston Salute was abandoned due to contamination, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Mandela Sun, Sunset Senorita, Cool Milo, Select Selwood and Busta Voe collided approaching the first turn checking Sunset Senorita, Cool Milo and Select Selwood. Aston Salute was checked off Dr. Luvdisc in the back straight. Sunset Senorita and Cool Milo collided on the second turn checking Cool Milo. Aston Salute and Mandela Sun collided approaching the home turn. Busta Voe clipped the heels of Mandela Sun approaching the home turn. Select Selwood was checked off Sunset Senorita approaching the home turn. Sunset Senorita, Cool Milo and Busta Voe collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds.
Duomo Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left front leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
