The Track Curator advised Stewards that the track was harrowed on Monday 20th February, 2017.

This race was rescheduled to start at 6:51pm due to a malfunction with the judging system. 

Yolk's Boy was slow to begin. Prom Night, Too Far Out and Erupt Eve Lad collided on the first turn, checking Too Far Out. Shining Opal, Prom Night and Erupt Eve Lad collided approaching the home turn, checking Ashanti Alinga, Too Far Out and Yolk's Boy, and severely checking Thomeli Kasey, Magic Innings, Erupt Eve Lad and Prom Night, Magic Innings, Erupt Eve Lad and Prom Night fell as a result. 

Magic Innings was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left elbow and left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Erupt Eve Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the neck and left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed. 

This race was rescheduled to start at 7:04pm.

Jameka Gold was quick to begin. Tear Away Duke and Joycee Rae collided approaching the first turn. Tye Chilly checked off Miracles Happen on the first turn. Secret Chord and Tear Away Duke collided on the first turn. Joycee Rae and Miracles Happen collided on the home turn. Crackerjack Jake checked off Joycee Rae entering the home straight. Secret Chord and Tye Chilly collided in the home straight.

Don Lesta and Poppy's Ollie were slow to begin. Billy Braavos, Ocean View and Mepunga Tycoon collided approaching the first turn, checking Ocean View. Faberlicious and Vectis Falcon collided on the first turn, checking Vectis Falcon. Don Lesta and Mepunga Tycoon collided in the home straight. Ocean View and Poppy's Ollie collided in the home straight. 

Brae's Bullet and Invented were slow to begin. Ocean Bay, Cloona Express and Brae's Bullet collided soon after the start, checking Ocean Bay and Brae's Bullet. Chrissy Pee and Invented collided approaching the first turn, checking Invented. Cloona Express, Bushman's Idol and Rampant Jack collided approaching the home turn. Cloona Express checked off Bushman's Idol approaching the home turn, checking Invented. 

A sample was taken from Sea Mist - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Craig, the trainer of MacAlister Ike regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. MacAlister Ike last raced on 28th September 2016. Mr. Craig stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right hock.

MacAlister Ike and Rich Value were slow to begin. Sixteen Bills, Tear Away Socks and Black Market collided approaching the first turn. Southwood Hazel and Rich Value collided approaching the first turn, checking Southwood Hazel. MacAlister Ike checked off Ma Ma Keogh approaching the home turn. Sixteen Bills and Black Market collided in the home straight.

Fab's Man checked off Bush Destroyer in the home straight, checking Handpass. Handpass and Fab's Man collided in the home straight. Miss Shieka and Urie collided in the home straight.

Crazy Jo Jo was quick to begin. Still The One, Arolok Jane and Slipaway Robbie collided soon after the start. Alpha Lucky and Arabella Figg collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Slipaway Robbie checked off Crazy Jo Jo on the home turn, checking Alpha Lucky, Alpha Lucky raced wide as a result. Arabella Figg and Crazy Jo Jo collided in the home straight. Arabella Figg checked off Alpha Lucky in the home straight. 

Al's Luck was very slow to begin (4 Lengths). Crackerjack Dave, Merc and Trigger Lee collided soon after the start, severely checking Trigger Lee. Bush Ace and Crackerjack Dave collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.

Cee Righty was slow to begin. Mega Secret and On The Trail were quick to begin. Mega Secret galloped on the heels of On The Trail approaching the home turn. 

Shotgun Doll and Ella Rhode collided soon after the start, checking Shotgun Doll and Kirabilli Dawson. Ella Rhode checked off Suspicious Pete approaching the first turn, checking Shotgun Doll. Shotgun Doll checked off Destroy I Said on the first turn. 

A pre race sample was taken from Magic Reindeer. 

There was a slight delay to the start of this event to allow for some sand to be removed from under the rail, which was impeding the lure. 

Cowboy Love, Magic Reindeer, Lil Arthur and Djarragun collided approaching the first turn, checking Magic Reindeer and Lil Arthur. Cowboy Love, Djarragun and Tanjira collided on the first turn, checking Cowboy Love, Djarragun, Implosion Liam and Lil Arthur.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Bouchier, the trainer of Bushman's Poem, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Bushman's Poem last raced on 18th August 2016. Mr. Bouchier stated that the greyhound was recovering from a right metacarpal injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Bushman's Poem trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 33kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.14, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.5 lengths. Bushman's Idol was Cleared.
