Carlanna Kervon was slow to begin.  Cosmic Tool checked off Cain Hoy on the first turn.  Goomac Keats checked off Cain Hoy approaching the home turn.  Cosmic Tool raced wide in the home straight.

Krazy Jane and Mindset were slow to begin.  Mindset and Toby's Taxi  collided approaching the home turn, checking Mindset and Krazy Jane.  Krazy Jane and Toby's Taxi collided approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. C. Abela, the trainer of What Pins regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  What Pins last raced on 6th October, 2016.  Mrs. Abela stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel.  Mrs. Abela also declared a new weight of 301.kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). What Pins last raced at 32.1kg.

El Grand Knocka and Tristesse collided approachng the first turn, checking El Grand Knocka.  El Grand Knocka and Warming Galo's collided approachng the home turn.  Tristesse checked off What Pins in the home straight.

Thera Cee and Tiger Tees collided soon after the start.  Zed's A Mystery and Misty Rose collided approaching the first turn, checking Misty Rose.  Galo's Beauty checked off Thera Cee on the first turn.  Zed's A Mystery and Misty Rose collided approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Hammerstein, trainer of Tiger Tees regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.

Lupin Grange was slow to begin.  Belron Bliss and King Of Merrimu collided soon after the start.  Lupin Grange, Belron Bliss and King of Merrimu collided approaching the first turn.  Nellie shank galloped on the heels of Cinnamon Cindy approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Nellie Shan and Lupin Grange collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Lupin Grange which tailed off.

Lupin Grange was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist and right quadricep, a 14 day day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Zulu Success upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Hume, the trainer of Zulu Success regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zulu Success last raced on 23rd November, 2016.  Ms. Hume stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel.

Starbright Kate was a late scratching at 9.14a.m. by Order of Stewards.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Big Tilly was slow to begin.  Cool Al checked off Clavash approaching the home turn.  Big Tilly checked off Cool Al approaching the home turn.  

A sample was taken from Cool Al - unplaced in the event.

Padma Grange and Fire Fury were slow to begin.  Penny Lane Keats and Mia Shan collided approaching the first turn, checking Mia Shan.  Penny Lane Keats checked off Lashil on the first turn. Dynamic Deano, FIre Fury and Padma Grange collided on the first turn, severely checking Fire Fury and Padma Grange.

Spin That Wheel and Exford Oak were quick to begin.  Bobby Shan and Harry's Hunni were slow to begin.  Spin That Wheel and Exford Oak collided on the first turn.  Belron Gaz and Exford Oak collided approaching the home turn.  Belron Gaz checked off Exford Oak approaching the winning post.

Goodnight Sienna was slow to begin.  Paddy's Cripp and Severus Grange collided approachng the first turn, checking Severus Grange.  Paddy's Cripp and Slow To Burn collided on the first turn, checking Slow To Burn and Severus Grange.  Severus Grange and Goodnight Sienna collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Goodnight Sienna which fell as a result.
