Stelio Kontos, Sonny's Tas and Major Bill collided approaching the first turn checking Stelio Kontos.  Stelio Kontos raced wide in the home straight.

Mr. Stealer, Collect and Nallak collided soon after the start checking Mr. Stealer and Collect.  Billiluna and Allen Optic collided on the first turn checking Billiluna.  Nallak and Howie Bale collided on the first turn checking Nallak.  Billiluna and Howie Bale collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Billiluna, severely checking Dance Craze, checking Nallak as a result.

Stewards spoke to Ms. T. DEglaitis, the handler of McMonty's Girl regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. McMonty's Girl last raced on 3rd of September 2016. Ms.Deglaitis stated that MvMonty's Girl was resuming after a change of kennel. Ms. Deglaitis also declared a new weight of 28.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). McMonty's Girl last raced at 27.1kg.

You Dance and Flashing Lights were quick to begin.  It's Magic was slow to begin.  Tat Odin contacted the running rail on the first turn.  McMonty's Girl and Right Said Frank collided on the first turn checking Right Said Frank.  William Cabang and Flashing Lights collided on the first turn checking Flashing Lights.  Lady Beatrix and William Cabang collided several times in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr D.Daniliuk the trainer of Break The Code regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Break The Code last raced on 24th October 2016. Mr. Daniliuk stated that Break The Code was resuming from an injured right flextendon.
