The track curator advised Stewards that the track was routinely harrowed on Sunday February 26.  

This meeting was deemed to be heat affected.  At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 31.7 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.9 degrees.

St. Pauli and May's Melody were slow to begin.

Kraken Aye Kay and Jolmia collided approaching the first turn. Algablew, Kraken Aye Kay and Jolmia collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Aye Kay and Shazza's Gift. St. Pauli and Run Tom Run collided approaching the home turn checking Run Tom Run. Kraken Aye Kay galloped on the heels of Jolmia approaching the home turn checking Kraken Aye Kay and Shazza's Gift. St. Pauli and May's Melody collided on the home turn severely checking St. Pauli, May's Melody and Shazza's Gift,  May's Melody tailed off as a result.

Kraken Aye Kay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist and split webbing to the left front foot. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

St. Pauli was vetted and re-vetted following race 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shadow Diamond.

Taylor Bale, Shadow Diamond and Laurence Avenue were slow to begin.  Dry Argument and Sleek Nitro collided approaching the first turn checking Dry Argument.  Shadow Diamond checked off Laurence Avenue on the first turn.  Taylor Bale and How Fancy collided on the first turn severely checking How Fancy which fell as a result.

How  Fancy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a radius/ulna fracture, and was humanely euthanased.

Chezza was quick to begin. Hold On Belena was slow to begin. Jimmy Newob and Helen Allen collided approaching the first turn checking Jimmy Newob. Chezza and Helen Allen collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post. 

Chezza was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Jet Hawk and Awesome Freckles were quick to begin. Kraken Rockstar was slow to begin. Tomdor checked off Warringul Miss collided on the first turn checking Kraken Rockstar. Kraken Rockstar checked off Tomdor in the back straight.  Jet Hawk and Alezan collided on the home turn.  Warringal Miss checked off Awesome Freckles entering the home straight.

Jackdell was quick to begin. Onya Teddy was slow to begin. Jackdell and Where's Dex Star collided approaching the first turn checking Where's Dex Star.  Where's Dex Star checked off Utopia approaching the first turn.  Where's Dex Star and Utopia collided in the home straight checking Utopia.

July Allen, Oaklands and Brazen Blue were quick to begin.  Sabjorn Bale, Stolen and Rickety Gate collided approaching the first turn checking Stolen and Rickety Gate.  Stolen and Rickety Gate collided approaching the first turn.  Stolen checked off Allen Clown on the first turn.  Fabstar checked off July Allen approaching the home turn.  July Allen and Fabstar collided in the home straight.  Rickety Gate and Allen Clown collided approaching the winning post.

Gotcha Rockin' was quick to begin.  Chief Bale and Zabimaru were slow to begin.  Paranoia checked off Chubba Chops on the first turn.  Chief Bale checked off Flaming Elite entering the back straight.  Flaming Elite checked off Spokesman in the back straight severely checking Zabimaru Bale and Chief Bale.  Paranoia checked off Gotcha Rockin' in the home straight.  Chubba Chops raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aussie Infrared.

Moltisanti and Allen Punter collided approaching the first turn checking Allen Punter.  Aussie Infrared and Moltisanti collided on the first turn checking Moltisanti  Allen Punter and Moltisanti collided several times approaching the home turn and on the home turn.  Allen Punter checked off Stelio Kontos on the home turn checking Moltisanti.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jenna Bale.

Allen Kappa was slow to begin. El Grand Pepe, Rusty's Mate, Belena Surf and Jenna Bale collided approaching the first turn severely checking Allen Kappa, El Grand Pepe, Belena Surf, Jenna Bale and Rusty's Mate , Rusty's Mate fell as a result.

Rusty's Mate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured radius/ulna, and was humanely euthanased.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Collins, the handler of Allen Kappa regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

Dimitri Bale and Allen Simon were slow to begin. Paws And Go and Mate Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Kalahari Sands and Aston Viva collided on the first turn checking Aston Viva.  Dimitri Bale and Sudoku Baby collided approaching the home turn checking Sudoku Bale.

A sample was taken from Solar Mocha, winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Moore, the trainer of Online regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Online last raced on 18th October 2016. Mr. Moore stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a right wrist injury.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Fullerton, the trainer of Collis Princess regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Collis Princess last raced on 23rd October 2016. Ms. Fullerton stated that the greyhound was new to the kennels and returning to racing from a shoulder injury.

Collis Princess was quick to begin. Amari was slow to begin. Online and Suitress collided soon after the start checking Online. Handsome Cosmo and Deadly Pace collided soon after the start checking Deadly Pace. Deadly Pace galloped on the heels of Online approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Handsome Cosmo and Pyramid Flyer collided approaching the home turn checking Pyramid Flyer.

Mr. Swan was slow to begin. Cool Boots and Shooters Echo collided soon after the start checking Shooters Echo. Cool Boots and I've Got Bills collided approaching the first turn checking I've Got Bills. Hey There Barbie and Yenderra Blue collided on the first turn checking Hey There Barbie which collided with Cool Boots as a result.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mr Stealer trialled over the 450mts from box 2, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.17, the greyhound won by a margin of 9.25L. Mr Stealer was Cleared.
