Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Tahlo.
Lead Into Demise and Zipping Geoff were quick to begin. Dark Obsession and Hestia Bale were slow to begin.
Linco Bale and Tahlo collided soon after the start. Miss Bo Wicked and Nitro Power collided on the first turn. Zipping Geoff and Nitro Power collided on the first turn. Dark Obsession checked off Miss Bo Wicked entering the back straight.
A sample was taken from Zipping Geoff - winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Shaun Coulson, the representative of the greyhound Linco Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Linco Bale was vetted and revetted following race 9. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hamstrings, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Linco Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Linco Bale ws found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
