Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Panetta, the trainer of Destini Riptide regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Destini Riptide last raced on 25th August, 2016.  Mrs. Panetta stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right achilles.

Gomer Bale was quick to begin. Rapid Innings and Gaza's Rooster collided approaching the first turn. Rapid Innings and Destini Riptide collided on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Pattaya Paul checked off Belena Surf approaching the home turn. Gaza's Rooster raced wide on the home turn and collided with Pattaya Paul as a result. 

A sample was taken from Valdar Bale - the winner of the event. 

Rapid Innings was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a ten day stand down period was imposed. 

Aston Apollo and Country Jane collided soon after the start, checking Country Jane. Who's My Daddy and Manhattan Man collided approaching the first turn, checking Who's My Daddy. Manhattan Man and Camelot Rose collided on the first turn. Big Mozz and Manhattan Man collided approaching the home turn, checking Big Mozz. Who's My Daddy and Country Jane collided approaching the home turn. Big Mozz, Camelot Rose and Manhattan Man collided on the home turn, checking Manhattan Man and Camelot Rose. Who's My Daddy raced wide in the home straight.

Manzeene Man, Spring Emperor, Rock It Ronny and Mr. Moonlight collided on the home turn, checking Spring Emperor, Mr. Moonlight and Manzeene Man, Manzeene Man raced wide as a result. Rock It Ronny and Lilty Allen collided in the home straight. Kalani Klare checked off July Allen in the home straight.

Spring Emperor was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Roman Around. 

Rowdy Richard was slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start. Roman Around and Carmalina collided soon after the start, checking Carmalina. Spring Bomber and Cruisy's Luck collided approaching the first turn. Spring Bomber checked off Cruisy's Luck on the first turn, checking Carmalina. Carmalina raced wide in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Jalapeno Flash - the winner of the event. 

Dontron was a late scratching at 2.40p.m. on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to split webbing to the left hind foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Daryl Dixon and Night Hawk were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Teflon Toby and Brazen Blue collide approaching the first turn, checking Brazen Blue. Night Hawk checked off Teflon Toby appraching the home turn. Red Tone checked off Daryl Dixon in the home straight. 

He's Some Love and Perfect Bart collided approaching the first turn. Smart Maxwell and Jack's Rainbow collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Smart Maxwell and Cruisy's Empress collided approaching the home turn. Smart Maxwell and Chief Bale collided on the home turn, checking Cruisy's Empress. He's Some Love checked off Jack's Rainbow in the home straight.

Mr. J. Guy trainer of Jive Time declared a new weight of 30.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Jive Time last raced at 31.7kg.

Pink Shoelaces crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Jive Time and Ringer. Nangar Range checked off Allen Punter entering the back straight. Southwood Max and Jive Time collided approaching the second turn. Southwood Max checked off Jive Time approaching the home turn. Massive Com and Pink Shoelaces collided approaching the home turn. Jive Time checked off Pink Shoelaces on the home turn and collided with Ringer as a result. 

A sample was taken from Nangar Range - the winner of the event. 

Allen Jeer was a late scratching at 2.48p.m. due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer D. Trewin was fined the sum of $100.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Brazen Fool, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Rick Grimes was slow to begin. Allen Optic, Brazen Fool and Mr. Stealer collided soon after the start, checking Mr. Stealer. Mr. Stealer checked off Billiluna on the home turn. 

Ponting's Nail was quick to begin. Magic Coups was slow to begin. Alouette Jack and Maximum Babe collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Babe. Magic Coups and Maximum Babe collided approaching the first turn, checking Maximum Babe. Alouette Jack and Hally Allen collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Hally Allen, Magic Coups and Irish Moment. Irish Moment and Hally Allen collided in the home straight. Magic Coups marred the running of Just Tooie in the home straight.

Mr. R. Tartaglia, trainer of Magic Coups, declined to have the greyhound vetted following the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Tartaglia, the trainer of the greyhound Magic Coups regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Magic Coups with marring.  Mr. Tartaglia pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Coups was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Allen Varmint, Kiwi Collision and Lektra Boss collided approaching the first turn, checking Kiwi Collision. Soxy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed.
