Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr R.Camilleri, the trainer of Daliya Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Daliya Bale last raced on 27 September 2016. Mr Camilleri stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal.

A pre race sample was taken from Allen Varmint. 

Bumble Bee Bolto and Teflon Toby collided soon after the start. Rampant Jack and Lektra Hutch collided approaching the first turn. Daliya Bale, Allen Varmint, Bumble Bee Bolto and Teflon Toby collided approaching the first turn, checking Daliya Bale. Allen Varmint, Bumble Bee Bolto and Teflon Toby collided on the first turn, checking Bumble Bee Bolto. Rampant Jack checked off Gravel Rash Riot on the first turn, checking Lektra Hutch, and severely checking Harsh Miles. 

Harsh Miles was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the face and a spike wound to the right back leg. No stand down period was imposed.
