Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr John Donaldson, the trainer of Steel Empire regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Steel Empire last raced on 15th August, 2016. Mr Donaldson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal and spelled.
A pre-race sample was taken from Royal Jasper.
Billy Lid and Royal Jasper were slow to begin.
Premier Ching and Front Page Lead collided soon after the start.
Premier Ching crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Kansas Lane, and severely checking Steel Empire which contacted the running rail.
