Fairway Drive was quick to begin. Tomdor went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Pawfection and Our Didda were slow to begin. Taarie Bale checked off Allen Quake approaching the first turn. Pawfection, Taarie Bale and Legal collided on the first turn, checking Taarie Bale, Legal, Barry Bomber, Our Didda and Tomdor. Tomdor raced wide on the home turn. 

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Sam's General engaged in this event on Monday 16th of January, 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre race sample was taken from My Mate Horse.

In A Rush and Precious Destini collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Lektra Fire checked off Ellen's Stardust on the first turn, checking Elanora. In A Rush and Precious Destini collided on the home turn, checking Precious Destini, Elanora and Fugitive Bale.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Whitehead, the trainer of Sip Slowly regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sip Slowly last raced on 5th Aug 16. Mr. A. Whitehead stated that the greyhound was resuming to racing after a left back split webbing and a left knee injury.

Our Turbo Boy and Alezan were slow to begin. Dyna Yatul and Alezan collided on the first turn, checking Alezan, Lani Bale, Gabrielle Allen and Supreme Prince. Maximum Owie and Sketchy Sprite collided approaching the winning post.

Be Hopeful was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Chain Of Fire was slow to begin. Chain Of Fire, Superior Swagger, Daryl Dixon and Riley Bale collided soon after the start. Yuken Duet and Dyna Fame collided approaching the first turn. Chain Of Fire, Superior Swagger, Daryl Dixon and Dyna Fame collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Chain Of Fire. Superior Swagger checked off Dyna Fame on the first turn, checking Daryl Dixon. Chain Of Fire and Daryl Dixon collided several times approaching the home turn. Dyna Maddie was slow to begin. Empire Entourage and Crazed Blaze collided soon after the start. Crazed Blaze and Flaming Elite collided soon after the start. Empire Entourage and City And Colour collided entering the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Dyna Maddie faltered on the second turn and lost ground as a result. Crazed Blaze galloped on the heels of City And Colour on the second turn. Crazed Blaze checked off City And Colour approaching the home turn, checking Flaming Elite. Empire Entourage and Onya Grover collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Empire Entourage checked off Moonlit Wings approaching the winning post, checking Onya Grover.

Dyna Maddie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hind leg, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Evie Tron crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Pee Dee. Aston Chanel crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Caco Potion, Allen Lottery and Mick's Angel, causing Mick's Angel to stumble. Evie Tron crossed to the rail on the first turn. Stocktake and Caco Potion collided on the second turn. Kalimna Express faltered on the second turn and tailed off. Stocktake and Evie Tron collided on the third turn. Caco Potion and Evie Tron raced wide on the home turn. 

Kalimna Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Camo was slow to begin. Nallak crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Felton Bale, Miss Rossi, Duty Free and Robyn's Boy. Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Smith, the trainer of Bills Back regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bills Back last raced on 21st Sep 16. Mr. C. Smith stated that the greyhound was resuming from a spell from racing.

A pre race sample was taken from Kyl's Me Mate. 

Sokyo, Bills Back and Cruisen Billy were slow to begin. Kyl's Me Mate and Adam Handler collided approaching the first turn. Pacific Angel and Little Pookie collided approaching the first turn. Little Pookie and Bills Back collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.

Bills Back was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Boss and Helma Bale were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn. Shot To Glory crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Chief Mingo and Red Light Runner, and severely checking Wez Gordy. Kiwi Collision and Wez Gordy collided on the first turn, checking Wez Gordy. Chief Mingo and Red Light Runner collided approaching the home turn, checking Red Light Runner.
