Steward's Report
Jarleth was a late scratching at 6:02pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to N. Lenehan, the Trainer of Ok Ollie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ok Ollie last raced on 28 August 2015. Mr. Lenehan stated that Ok Ollie was resuming racing after been on season.
Nordul's Hope and Lektra Shock were quick to begin. Ok Ollie, Jack's Rainbow and Love Club collided approaching the first turn, checking Jack's Rainbow. Shep and Nordul's Hope collided approaching the first turn. Ok Ollie and Love Club collided on the first turn. Nordul's Hope checked off Lektra Shock on the first turn. Nordul's Hope and Lektra Shock collided on the home turn, and again entering the home straight, checking Lektra Shock and Jack's Rainbow. Love Club eased in the home straight and collided with Ok Ollie.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Gibbons, the handler of the greyhound Love Club regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Love Club was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left elbow, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Love Club with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge, Love Club was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
