Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Carbone, the trainer of Oscar Lockie regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing and issued him with a warning.
Golden Blaze was slow to begin. Warriors Code and Oscar Lockie collided soon after the start checking Oscar Lockie. Sunny Breaks, Warriors Code, Kiwi Invasion and Sub Zero Magic collided on the first turn checking Warriors Code, Sub Zero Magic, Kiwi Invasion and Hoosh Nar. Warriors Code, Kiwi Invasion and Hoosh Nar collided approaching the home turn checking Warriors Code and Kiwi Invasion. Warriors Code and Oscar Lockie collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Warriors Code and Oscar Lockie collided entering the home straight checking Warriors Code.
