An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Lightning Frank engaged in this event on Wednesday, 4 January 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Thirty Talks was quick to begin. He's Loaded stumbled soon after the start. Lightning Frank and Lorenzo Blue collided soon after the start, checking Lorenzo Blue. Rockstar Troy raced wide on the first turn, checking Duty Free. He's Loaded and Matt Machine collided approaching the first turn. He's Loaded and Matt Machine collided on the second turn, checking He's Loaded, Matt Machine and Duty Free. Thirty Talks faltered entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. Rockstar Troy and Lightning Frank collided in the back straight. Thirty Talks, He's Loaded and Matt Machine collided approaching the third turn, checking Thrity Talks and Matt Machine, and severely checking He's Loaded.
Samples were taken from the placegetters - Lightning Frank (1st), Reefton Treasure (2nd) and Lorenzo Blue (3rd).
Thirty Talks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
