Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Pietro Bale.
Ving Bale and Pietro Bale were slow to begin. Eranna Bale and Ving Bale collided soon after the start. Rock It Ronny and Gomer Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Gomer Bale. Eranna Bale contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Rock It Ronny and Black Odessa collided on the first turn, checking Black Odessa and Gomer Bale. Ving Bale and Black Odessa collided on the home turn, checking Black Odessa. Eranna Bale checked off Black Odessa entering the home straight. Eranna Bale and Pietro Bale collided on several occasions in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Eranna Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left forearm. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr J Collins, the handler of Eranna Bale, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
Black Odessa was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
