A pre-race sample was taken from Showtime Sally.

Showtime Sally and Fairy Where were quick to begin.  Brazen Beetroot, Sunset Believer and Blackalls Lad were slow to begin.  Gee Whiz Gran and Sunset Believer collided approaching the first turn checking Gee Whiz Gran.  Sunset Believer galloped on Serious Magic approaching the first turn checking Serious Magic.  Serious Magic galloped on Sunset Believer on the first turn checking Sunset Believer and severely checking Serious Magic which lost ground checking Gee Whiz Gran.  Sunset Believer galloped on Blackalls Lad approaching the home turn.  Sunset Believer and Fairy Where collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Big Bad Badge, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Bills Reflection was quick to begin.  Team Son, Almani Elite and Big Bad Badge were slow to begin.  Opal Latte, Hello Nimble and Auburn Gal collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Hello Nimble, Auburn Gal and Team Son and severely checking Opal Latte.  Hello Nimble and Auburn Gal collided approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Romagnino regarding the direction that the greyhound Hello Nimble be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Johnny Scull.

Johnny Scull was quick to begin.  Akina Dee Jay and Dr. Watson were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Johnny Scull and Bella Ha Ha collided approaching the first turn. Sharky Army, Spring Jester and Aston Hammer collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Hammer.  Spring Jester and Sharky Army collided on the first turn checking Spring Jester, Sharky Army and Akina Dee Jay, Akina Dee Jay raced wide as a result.  Spring Jester was checked off Sharky Army on the first turn.  Aston Hammer and Dr. Watson collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Aston Hammer was checked off Dr. Watson on the second turn.  Bella Ha Ha and Texta Arandt collided approaching the home turn checking Texta Arandt.

Spring Jester was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no inury apparent.

A pre-race samle was taken from Lemon Chicken.

Andiamo Neo was slow to begin.  Lemon Chicken, Kid Audacious, Miss Fox and Swan's Waddle collided on the first turn checking Miss Fox and Swan's Waddle causing Kid Audacious to fall checking Miss Fox and severely checking Swan's Waddle which faltered and tailed off as a result.

Kid Audacious was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left and right quadriceps, right back muscle and right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Swan's Waddle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right radius/ulna and a fractured right wrist and was humanely euthanased.

Willowvale Wings was slow to begin.  Willowvale Wings, Irish Mobster and Loud Lana collided approaching the first turn.  Cement Socks clipped the heels of Tiger Hugo approaching the first turn.  Anjing Betina galloped on Cement Socks on the first turn checking In The Trolley, Anjing Betina, Cement Socks, Irish Mobster and Willowvale Wings.  Loud Lana galloped on Willowvale Wings approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Anjing Betina was checked off Irish Mobster on the second turn.  Tiger Hugo was checked off In The Trolley approaching the home turn.  Cement Socks and Totally Fab collided on the home turn.

Anjing Betina was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to the Club Veterinary Surgeon taking a blood sample.

Irish Moment was quick to begin.  Far Out Indian was slow to begin.  Emily As, Far Out Indian and McNeo collided soon after the start checking Far Out Indian.  Explosive Sky and Aston Troy collided soon after the start.  Aston Troy and Emily As collided approaching the first turn.  Van Damm, Irish Moment and McNeo collided on the first turn checking Van Damm.  Explosive Sky, Aston Troy and Emily As collided on the first turn checking Aston Troy and severely checking Explosive Sky.  Irish Moment and McNeo collided approaching the second turn checking McNeo.  Far Out Indian raced wide in the back straight.  Irish Moment and McNeo collided on the third turn checking Irish Moment.  Emily As was checked off Irish Moment on the third turn.  Van Damm and Far Out Indian collided approaching the home turn.

Kayo King was a late scratching at 10.03am due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Master Mordecai.

Master Mordecai and Mizuki were slow to begin.  Wot Price Flash and Dr. Harlee collided soon after the start checking Dr. Harlee.  Master Mordecai crossed in on the first turn checking Master Mordecai, Louie Neveelk and El Surrao.  Stunning Success and Mizuki collided on the first turn checking Stunning Success.  Dr. Harlee and Stunning Success collided approaching the second turn checking Stunning Sucess.  El Surrao was checked off Louie Neveelk on the second turn.  Stunning Success and Master Mordecai collided on the third turn checking Master Mordecai.  Mizuki raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Smith the trainer of Dynamo Magic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dynamo Magic last raced on 13/08/16.  Ms. Smith stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right thigh injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Farce Allen.

Our Miss Deena and Aston Lydia were quick to begin.  Dr. Luvdisc was slow to begin.  Dynamo Magic and Farce Allen collided approaching the first turn.  Amlin Jewel, Kyl's Me Mate and Our Miss Deena collided approaching the first turn checking Our Miss Deena and Farce Allen and severely checking Amlin Jewel.  Aston Lydia crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Our Miss Deena and Farce Allen, Our Miss Deena and Farce Allen lost considerable ground as a result.

Amlin Jewel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the left hind foot and an injured right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mint Burst was quick to begin.  Motivate Her was slow to begin.  Zuletta, Dr. Bodacious and Mighty Mish collided on the first turn checking Mighty Mish, Dr. Bodacious and Motivate Her.  Zuletta and Scanez Elect collided entering the back straight checking Scanez Elect.  Cookie Rose raced wide entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Gammiris.

Tilly Court, Daintree King and Mirror Reality were slow to begin.  Shelby Thunder was checked off Emilia Cash on the first turn checking Mirror Reality.  Tilly Court and Falcao collided in the back straight.  Shelby Thunder raced wide approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Whitford regarding the direction that the greyhound Shelby Thunder be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Tree Climber Liv and Tai Chi Mini were quick to begin.  Tom's Gift and Nero Rose were slow to begin.  Tom's Gift was checked off Shanks Very Much on the first turn checking Nero Rose causing Usain Gilbert to fall.

Usain Gilbert was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion on the left elbow a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Nero Rose - unplaced in the event.

Satisfactory trial result:-

Righto Mitch trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 30.1kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.16 secs , the greyhound won by a margin of 12 lengths.  Righto Mitch was cleared all tracks except Warragul.

Track Curator Mr. A. Inger advised Stewards that the track was deeply harrowed on 07/12/16.
