A pre-race sample was taken from Tempus Fugit.
Tempus Fugit was quick to begin. Howth was slow to begin. Seabrook Oscar and Fastnet Kahn collided soon after the start checking Fastnet Kahn. Zipping Faith crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Spring Kitty, Fastnet Kahn and Prison Cells. Prison Cells checked off Howth approaching the home turn. Spring Kitty checked off Prison Cells on the home turn. Fiery Universe checked off Howth on the home turn. Fiery Universe and Spring Kitty collided entering the home straight.

The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.75. The greyhound won by a margin of 5.75 lengths. Sir Charelton was cleared.
