Zipping Luna was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right shoulder joint and a toe injury to the left fore foot, a three day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Ralph, the representative of Zipping Luna regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.

Happy Hour was slow to begin. Dewana Interest crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Carry On Pendles and Willowvale Brezz. Carry On Pendles, Willowvale Brezz and Bro Sam's Hook collided on the first turn, checking Willowvale Brezz and Happy Hour. Willowvale Brezz and Happy Hour raced wide on the first turn. Bro Sam's Hook checked off Carry On Pendles on the second turn. Willowvale Brezz checked off Happy Hour entering the back straight. It's A Buzz checked off He Ain't Sweet entering the home straight.

Dusty Roy and Lightwood Miss were quick to begin. Dusty Roy crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Cosmic Chapta and Sisco Blast. Cosmic Chapta checked off Dusty Roy approaching the first turn, checking Seabrook Gem and severely checking Cosmic Chapta and Saturday Sip. Saturday Sip checked off Sisco Blast approaching the home turn. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Tiggerlong Thief upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling a pre-race sample was subsequently taken.

Hashtag Yolo was slow to begin. What's In Store and Tiggerlong Thief collided soon after the start. Chloe In Paris crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Bulldog Warrior and Destini Scorcher. Chloe In Paris and Destini Scorcher collided on the first turn, checking Hashtag Yolo and Destini Scorcher. Sisco Wander checked off Hashtag Yolo on the second turn. Chloe In Paris checked off Bulldog Warrior in the back straight. Destini Scorcher checked off Chloe In Paris in the home straight. 

Willowvale Wings, Destini Soprano, Convoy, Allen Optic and Tommy's Tune were slow to begin. Willowvale Wings and Why Not Mick collided soon after the start. Willowvale Wings and Why Not Mick collided soon after the start. Willowvale Wings, Destini Soprano, Convoy and Tommy's Tune collided on the first turn. Allen Optic and Why Not Mick collided entering the back straight. Tommy's Tune checked off Allen Optic in the back straight, checking Destini Soprano. Convoy and Tommy's Tune collided approaching the home turn. Surf In Vane veered out and marred the running of Shanlyn Percy on the home turn. Surf In Vane and Destini Soprano collided in the home straight.

Surf In Vane was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Henness, the trainer of the greyhound Surf In Vane regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Surf In Vane with marring. Mr. Henness pleaded guilty to the charge, Surf In Vane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Leopardstown was slow to begin. Destini Mermaid and Dennis Gallon collided soon after the start. Destini Mermaid checked off Dennis Gallon on the second turn. Paua To Rush and Bebington collided approaching the third turn, severely checking Bebington and Dennis Gallon. Von Schnitzel and Dennis Gallon collided on the fourth turn.

Tapping Tears and Boda Boda were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Starlight Lucy and Tapping Tears collided approaching the first turn. Megadrive checked off Tapping Tears on the first turn, checking Boda Boda. Destini Doll faltered entering the back straight and tailed off. Dewana Express checked off Kinbrae Millie on the third turn. 

Destini Doll was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhouns suatained injuries to the right back muscle and right hamstrings, a ninety day stand down period was imposed. 

Bobby Bound was slow to begin. Telarah Flash and Lawman collided approaching the first turn, checking Lawman. Telarah Flash and River Crossing collided approaching the home turn. Rock Away and River Crossing collided approaching the home turn. Lawman checked off Telarah Flash on the home turn. 

Canal Court and Pocket Queen were slow to begin. Rusty Cove and Pocket Queen collided soon after the start, checking Pocket Queen. Rapid Intention and Latifi Nick Nack collided in the front straight, checking Latifi Nick Nack. Rusty Cove and Oh Lele Simon collided approaching the fourth turn, checking Oh Lele Simon.

Zipping Lady and Destini Mantello were slow to begin. Out On Parole and Trigger Lee collided soon after the start. Zipping Moss, Trigger Lee and Out On Parole collided approaching the first turn, checking Trigger Lee. Proven Eddie, Trigger Lee, Destini Mantello and Precious Destini collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Destini Mantello which stumbled and tailed off as a result. Trigger Lee checked off Precious Destini on the first turn and raced wide as a result. Don's Disaster checked off Zipping Lady on the third turn.

Who Dey was slow to begin. Hashtag Selfie checked off Dewana Special on the first turn. Cosmea and What's Up Trumps collided on the first turn. Ella's Cruising checked off Dewana Special in the front straight. What's Up Trumps checked off One Cup Short in the front straight. Ella's Cruising and One Cup Short collided on the fourth turn.
