Waymore's Blues was slow to begin. Monarco checked off Senorita Cherry soon after the start. Keep On Rolling and Crackerjack Dad collided soon after the start. Babylon Club and Major Talent collided soon after the start. Babylon Club checked off Crackerjack Dad approaching the first turn causing Babylon Club to contact the running rail. Keep On Rolling checked off West Lad on the first turn. Major Talent and Monarco collided approaching the second turn. Crackerjack Dad raced wide on the second turn. Keep On Rolling and Major Talent collided on the second turn causing Major Talent to collide with Monarco. West Lad and Waymore's Blues collided on the third turn and approaching the home turn checking West Lad. Keep On Rolling and Senorita Cherry collided approaching the home turn.
