Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to R Cunningham, the trainer of Blue Rinse regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Blue Rinse last raced on 4 June 2015. R Cunningham stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured thigh muscle.
Old Man Johnson and Bondi Buddy were slow to begin. Blue Rinse and Olivia Snow collided soon after the start. Lido's Boy and Liquid Force collided soon after the start, checking Liquid Force and Lord Comersby. Blue Rinse and Lido's Boy collided approachingi the 100m mark, checking Blue Rinse.
Old Man Johnson was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Blue Rinse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right quadriceps and lower back, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Lord Somersby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to R Johnson, the trainer of Old Man Johnson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the middle stages of the race.
