A pre race sample was taken from Spring Kitty.
Lonnie Magic and Sissy Monsoon were quick to begin. Bangor Dorrie, Murrabit Yap and Joyous were slow to begin. Sissy Monsoon and Jody Baxter collided approaching the first turn. Spring Kitty checked off Jody Baxter on the first turn. Spring Kitty and Murrabit Yap collided on the home turn. Joyous raced wide in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Sissy Monsoon - the winner of the event.
Murrabit Yap was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.
