Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Fothergill, the trainer of Waikiki Creek regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Waikiki Creek last raced on 27th July 2016. Mr. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was returning from a metacarpal injury.
Call Me Loulou, Reverend John and Go Close were quick to begin. Miracle Cherry and Purple Butterfly were slow to begin. Purple Butterfly checked off Speedcar Skip on the first turn. Call Me Loulou checked off Reverend John on the first turn. Waikiki Creek checked off Baron Destini on the second turn severely checking Miracle Cherry.
Miracle Cherry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Speedcar Skip was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both deltoid muscles. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
