Betty Baker was slow to begin. Don't Crumble crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Wahlberg. Diamond Python and Choclotto collided soon after the start checking Choclotto. Filius Flitwick and Choclotto collided approaching the first turn. Diamond Python was checked off Wahlberg on the first turn severely checking Diamond Python and Cost Cutter and checking Filius Flitwick, Choclotto and Billy Bubba, causing Billy Bubba to race wide. Wahlberg and Don't Crumble collided in the home straight. Choclotto, Diamond Python and Cost Cutter raced wide in the home straight.
Diamond Python was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
