Steward's Report

It's Blast and Major Crush were slow to begin.  Forward Thinking and Major Crush collided soon after the start.  It's A Blast, Bourbski Fever and Spring Pride collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn severely checking It's A Blast and Bourbski Fever.  Alouette Magic checked off Spring Pride approaching the second turn.  It's A Blast checked off Forward Thinking approaching the second turn.  It's A Blast raced wide on the second turn.  Ninety Five checked off Major Crush approaching the fourth turn.  Forward Thinking eased entering the back straight checking Ninety Five.  Forward Thinking eased in the back straight.  Alouette Magic and Bourbski Fever collided in the back straight.  Forward Thinking eased on the fifth turn checking Ninety Five; Ninety Five and Forward Thinking were tailed off as a result.  Alouette Magic and Bourbski Fever collided approaching the home turn.

Bourbski Fever was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Chatwin, the representative of the greyhound Forward Thinking regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight, in the back straight and on the fifth turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Forward Thinking with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Chatwin pleaded guilty to the charge.  Forward Thinking was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 28 days (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR (A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
