Steward's Report
Mr. R. Conway the trainer of Galloping Ashley declared a new weight of 28.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Galloping Ashley last raced at 30.0kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Elswyk Gal.
Aston Lydia and Le Doyen were quick to begin. Sister Salzburg, Select Selwood and Pure Gassed were slow to begin. Select Selwood was checked off Lakeview Miss approaching the first turn. Le Doyen crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Lakeview Miss, severley checking Galloping Ashley and causing Pure Gassed and Elswyk Gal to race wide. Lakeview Miss galloped on Sister Salzburg entering the back straight checking Lakeview Miss.
Galloping Ashley was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
