Top Load was slow to begin. Rusty's Cape and Guilded Lily collided soon after the start. Rusty's Cape, Guilded Lily and Dana Archie collided approaching the first turn, checking Guilded lily. Dream Ticket, Abscond and Denali Prince collided on the first turn, checking Denali Prince. Denali Prince checked off Mr. Leigh and contacted the running rail on the third turn. Denali Prince and Mr. Leigh collided several times on the home turn and in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Denali Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
