Steward's Report
The All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards to review an incident in the front straight involving greyhounds Express Lane , Im So Late and Sweet About Lola. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations and considering all circumstances, the All Clear was given on placings 2-4-8-3.
City Rambler was quick to begin. Rules Apply was slow to begin. City Rambler and Rugall collided on the first turn. Rules Apply and I'm So Late collided on the first turn. Lever Action and Who Dey collided on the first turn. Express Lane checked off Rugall entering the front straight, became unbalanced and collided with I'm So Late and Sweet About Lola, resulting in all three greyhounds being severely checked and forcing all three greyhounds to race very wide, momentarily entering the grassed area. Express Lane checked off Sweet About Lola on the third turn. I'm So Late tailed off in the event.
Express Lane was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
I'm So Late was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right neck and right shoulder muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Sweet About Lola was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
