Powerful Stress was vetted when presented for kennelling and was passed fit to start. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, handler of Powerful Stress, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Powerful Stress last raced on 4th May, 2015. Mr. Ward stated that Powerful Stress is new to Mr. Carthew's kennel and that he has taken some time to get the greyhound prepared for racing. 

Kibibi and Koch collided soon after the start.  Koch crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Deadly Mabilis and Daphne Allen.  Spot The Boats, Deadly Mabilis and Daphne Allen collided approaching the first turn, checking Deadly Mabilis.  Aston Regas checked off Kibibi approaching the first turn.  Powerful Stress and Tronald Trump collided approaching the first turn, checking Tronald Trump.  Tronald Trump, Spot The Boats and Daphne Allen collided on the first turn, severely checking Daphne Allen and Spot The Boats.  Kibibi checked off Koch approaching the home turn.  Powerful Stress and Kibibi collided approaching the home turn.  Spot The Boats and Deadly Mabilis raced wide in the home straight.  Kibibi and Tronald Trump collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

A staff member was not provided for the run back gate for this event. As a result three greyhounds failed to be immediately caught. Stewards spoke to the Ballarat Track Manager and advised him that all track staff must be fully aware of their duties prior to the start of the race meeting. 

Airball, Ad's Boy and Lettuce Hold On collided soon after the start, checking Airball and Lettuce Hold On.  Amlin's Magic and Wombat collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Hollywood Beam, Sunset Eclipse and Ad's Boy collided on the first turn, checking Hollywood Beam.  Tronnie Oldfield checked off Wombat approaching the home turn.  Tronnie Oldfield and Wombat collided approaching the home turn.  Ad's Boy checked off Sunset Eclipse approaching the home turn.  Airball, Ad's Boy and Lettuce Hold On approaching the home turn, checking Lettuce Hold On.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) (Judge) Jamie Louden did not act in any official capacity for this event. 

Gia was slow to begin.  Kinloch Stunna and Fayette collided soon after the start.  Call Me Lily, Schooner and Enka Allen collided soon after the start.  Kinloch Stunna and Fayette collided approaching the first turn.  Kinloch Stunna, Fayette and Gia collided on the first turn, checking Fayette. Kinloch Stunna and Gia collided approaching the home turn.  Kinloch Stunna and Next To Go collided entering the home straight, checking Kinloch Stunna and collided with Fayette and Gia, checking Gia who raced wide for the remainder of the event.

Batty Allen was quick to begin.  Unexpectedly and Drysdale Doll collided soon after the start.  Unexpectedly checked off Cacoethes approaching the first turn.  Whirl's Blue and Claretown Louise collided several times approaching the first turn.  Whirl's Blue and Midnight Ebony collided on the first turn.  Katie Riot and Batty Allen collided approaching the home turn.  Cacoethes and Batty Allen collided approaching the home turn.  Cacoethes and Unexpectedly collided on the home turn, and again several times in the home straight.  Drysdale Doll checked off Unexpectedly in the home straight.

Whirl's Blue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

One Dee, Airbound, Elbow Room and Some Tricks collided soon after the start, checking Airbound.  Airbound checked off Elbow Room approaching the first turn.  Elbow Room, Some Tricks and Bush Courage collided on the first turn, checking Elbow Room and Some Tricks.  Some Tricks checked off Bush Courage on the home turn.  Memphis Jookin' checked off One Dee in the home straight.  Monster Deeds and One Dee collided in the home straight.

Cosmic Rebel and It's A Blast were slow to begin.  Kraken Flash and It's A Blast collided soon after the start, checking Kraken Flash.  Mo Town San and Miss Monteya collided on the first turn.  Spring Trail checked off Miss Monteya on the first turn.  Cosmic Rebel raced wide on the first turn.  Miss Monteya and Gazer Bale collided in the back straight, and again on the home turn.  Mo Town San and Rowdy Rousey collided in the home straight, checking Rowdy Rousey.

Glitterbug was slow to begin.  Hisagi Bale and Fantastic Sid collided soon after the start.  Hhisagi Bale, Fantastic Sid and Inventor collided soon after the stasrt.  Crackerjack Bill and Inventor collided approaching the first turn.  Helga Bale and Hisagi Bale collided on the first turn.  Saint Bale and Glitterbug collided on the first turn, severely checking Saint Bale.  Hisagi Bale brushed the running rail approaching the home turn, checking Inventor.  Glitterbug and Fantastic Sid collided on the home turn, checking Glitterbug and Helga Bale.  Morson Senor checked off Glitterbug entering the home straight and collided with Helga Bale.  Hisagi Bale and Inventor collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Saint Bale and Crackerjack Bill collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Prince Django and Bekim Vapour were slow to begin.  Gaucho, Razldazl Pacino and Claretown Bart collided on the first turn, checking Prince Django, Claretown Bart and Akando.  Claretown Bart galloped on the heels of Prince Django entering the back straight, checking Prince Django.  Mademoiselle Sox and Akando collided on the second turn, checking Akando.

Claretown Bart was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Suspicious Sam turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the event.  White About Now was slow to begin.  Free Throw and Fade Away collided on the first turn.  Free Throw checked off Bazz Kebab on the first turn.  Call Me Deita checked off Matilda Taylor approaching the home turn.  Free Throw, Bazz Kebab, Fade Away and White About Now collided approaching the home turn.  Free Throw checked off Bazz Kebab approaching the home turn.

Suspicious Sam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to P Pace regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Bazz Kebab.  Stewards directed that Bazz Kebab be boxed first in future events.

Stewards established that Suspicious Sam turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Suspicious Sam was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Midnight Outlaw, Tron Bradman, Claretown Sam and Who Told Lindylu were slow to begin.  Claretown Sam and Who Told Lindylu collided soon after the start.  Rimpac checked off Slick Simzy approaching the first turn.  Bounce Pass, Tron Bradman, Rimpac, Claretown Sam and Who Told Lindylu collided on the first turn, checking Bounce Pass, Rimpac, Claretown Sam and Who Told Lindylu.  Midnight Outlaw and Slick Simzy collided on the first turn.  Claretown Sam raced wide on the home turn.  Slick Simzy checked off Denali Prince in the home straight.

Claretown Sam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hind sesamoid, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Pest was slow to begin.  Perrier Bale and Spring Topaz collided approaching the first turn.  Crackerjack Pest and Spring Topaz collided approaching the first turn.  Bucky Boy and What's Up Herbie collided approaching the first turn.  Lady Tron and Crackerjack Pest collided on the first turn, checking Lady Tron.  Lady Tron checked off Perrier Bale on the first turn.  Crackerjack Pest and Pure Riddle collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight, checking Perrier Bale.

Spring Missile and Barcia Beebee collided approaching the first turn, checking Barcia Beebee.  Psychotic Bob and Ay Goodes collided approaching the first turn.  Elite Stress, Manelito and Don's Licker collided approaching the first turn, checking Manelito and Don's Licker.  Don's Licker and Elite Stress collided on the first turn, checking Elite Stress.  Elite Stress checked off Manelito on the home turn.  Manelito and Stiff Arm collided several times in the home straight.
