Madeleine Jay was quick to begin. Zac's Treasure, Big Talker and Dutch Schultz collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Waimea crossed to the rail on the first turn. Big Talker and Leroy Tron collided on the first turn checking Big Talker.

Sunday Sipper, Dortmunder, Kenso Bale, Magic Is Might, Aston Cruz and Sunny Breaks collided soon after the start checking Aston Cruz and Dortmunder and severely checking Magic Is Might. Aston Cruz and Sunny Breaks collided on the first turn severely checking Aston Cruz. Kenso Bale and Sunny Breaks collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Cruz and Kenso Bale collided approaching the home turn checking  Aston Cruz. Kenso Bale and Sunny Breaks collided approaching the home turn checking Sunny Breaks. Chief Tommy and Sunday Sipper collided on the home turn. Aston Cruz and Chief Tommy collided in the home straight. Sunny Breaks checked off Kenso Bale approaching the winning post.

Casanova and Nuggy Burger were slow to begin. Snow Hawke and Aston Dawn collided approaching the first turn. Flying Opal, Hotshot Booker, Lara's Gem and Snow Hawke collided on the first turn checking Snow Hawke and severely checking Lara's Gem and Casanova, Lara's Gem fell as a result. Washington checked off Flying Opal on the second turn. Aston Dawn and Washington collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.

Lara's Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the right hock and right hamstring. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Casanova was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in both shoulders. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

A sample was taken from Hotshot Booker, winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. P. Triaca, trainer of Legend regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Legend last raced on 14th February, 2015. Ms. Triaca stated that Legend had entered her kennels some time ago, however she has taken her time to prepare the greyhound for racing.

Audacious Sprite was quick to begin. Legend and Teecee Raider collided approaching the first turn checking Teecee Raider and Darra Ash. Legend and Mirror Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Mirror Bale. Willow Princess and Darra Ash collided approaching the home turn checking Darra Ash. Audacious Sprite and Proper Bluey collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Legend raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight. 

Willow Princess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sprained left hind toe and spike wounds to the left front webbing. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed. 

Darra Ash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the left wrist and left back muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Rules Apply and Sunlit Cobber were quick to begin. Ressler and Be Two Bomber were slow to begin. Zipping Noel, Ressler and Toy Princess  collided on the first turn checking Toy Princess. Saintly Miss and Velocity Alice collided on the second turn checking Velocity Alice. Rules Apply checked off Saintly Miss on the home turn. Zipping Noel checked off Rules Apply approaching the winning post and collided with Saintly Miss.

Dot Com Diesel was slow to begin. China Rose stumbled soon after the start causing the greyhound's foot to become momentarily caught in it's muzzle. Derby Magic, Segatashya and Detroit Tiger collided on the first turn. Maysoon Kahn checked off Compelling on the first turn checking Derby Magic and Segatashya. Segatashya checked off Derby Magic approaching the home turn. Dot Com Diesel and Hardaway Law collided on the home turn. Derby Magic checked off Maysoon Kahn entering the home straight.

China Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken left dew claw and a right tricep injury. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Oaklands and Sheoak Blue Boy were slow to begin. Bing's Bro and Final Bid collided on several occasions approaching the first turn. Midnight Flynn raced wide in the back straight. Oaklands checked off Jackie Baxter on the first turn checking Sheoak Blue Boy and Bing's Bro. Jackie Baxter and Octagon Girl collided on the first turn checking Octagon Girl and Bing's Bro. Midnight Flynn crossed to the rail on the first turn.

Octagon Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hind split webbing. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Conspiracy was quick to begin. Smooth Rebel was slow to begin. Lead Into Demise and Smooth Rebel collided on the first turn. Northern Blues and Velocity Saphire collided on the first turn checking Northern Blues. Mojito Mayhem and Hez Got Nitro collided approaching the home turn severely checking Hez Got Nitro which fell as a result and collided with Northern Blues. Smooth Rebel and Lead Into Demise collided on the home turn.

Northern Blues was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Hez Got Nitro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right metacarpal. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Billy Bio was slow to begin. Lucia Rossa checked off Straight Flush on the first turn. Majory Curly galloped on the heels of Aston Odious on the first turn checking Aston Odious and Straight Flush and severely checking Major Curly. Aston Odious and Super Patricia collided on the home turn. Major Curly checked off Straight Flush on the home turn. 

Major Curly was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Senor Laurie was slow to begin. Cosmic Lily, Fear The Best,Hersi, Come At Me and Silver Rockstar collided soon after the start checking Hersi. Fear The Best, Punk Pirate and Silver Rockstar collided approaching the first turn. Fear The Best and Silver Rockstar collided on the first turn. Fear The Best, Come At Me and Silver Rockstar collided approaching the home turn checking Silver Rockstar and Fear The Best. Senor Laurie raced wide entering the home straight. Silver Rockstar and Come At Me collided on the home turn. 

Punk Pirate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lameness to right hind leg. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Zulu Retreat, Carlanna Lois and Rat Tail Jimmy were slow to begin. Zulu Retreat, Carlanna Lois and Jimmy Who collided approaching the first turn checking Carlanna Lois. Greysynd Chief galloped on the heels of McClellan approaching the home turn checking McClellan and Rat Tail Jimmy. Carlanna Lois and Greysynd Chief collided on the home turn. Greysynd Chief crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Carlanna Lois. 

McClellan was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Noddin Off was slow to begin. Rip It and Harvest Gold collided soon after the start. Gotta Rush and Big Bad Dicko collided approaching the first turn. Bojack Kahn crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Stagger Express, Harvest Gold and Rip It. Gotta Rush, Big Bad Dicko and Miss Murderous collided on the first turn checking Big Bad Dicko and Miss Murderous and severely checking Stagger Express and Noddin Off. Harvest Gold checked off Miss Murderous approaching the home turn. Harvest Gold and Stagger Express collided on the home turn.
