Steward's Report
Liam was a late scratching at 8:48am due to illness (diarrohea). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr A. Britton, the trainer of Bahama Bay regarding the extended length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bahama Bay last raced on 30 January 2015. Mr. Britton stated that the greyhound has been recovering from injuries to the achilles and tendon. Stewards noted Mr. Britton's comments.
Claretown Tex was slow to begin. Volksjager Blue, Ennis Bale and Impact Bale collided soon after the start. Dyna Malaise and Dyna Alchemist collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Malaise, Bahama Bay, Impact Bale and Volksjager Blue collided on the first turn chekcing Impact Bale and Ennis Bale. Dyna Malaise checked off Bahama Bay approaching the home turn. Volksjager Blue checked off Claretown Tex on the home turn. Dyna Malaise and Impact Bale collided in the home straight.
