Nitro Deception was quick to begin. Allen Jersey, Rhapsody Twist and Both Sides Now were slow to begin. Unexpectedly and Takedown crossed to the rail soon after the start checking What You Say. Allen Jersey and What You Say collided soon after the start. Nitro Deception and Bucky Boy collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds. What You Say checked off Rhapsody Twist on the first turn. Rhapsody Twist and Both Sides Now collided on the first turn. Bucky Boy and Unexpectedly collided approaching the second turn. Allen Jersey checked off Both Sides Now approaching the second turn. Bucky Boy, Unexpectedly and Both Sides Now collided on the second turn checking Both Sides Now, severely checking Allen Jersey and Unexpectedly, causing Nitro Deception to race wide. Rhapsody Twist checked off Bucky Boy on the third turn. Both Sides Now checked off Rhapsody Twist approaching the home turn.
Unexpectedly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
