Good Judge Buddy was slow to begin. Feikuai Zack, Ella's Cruising, Mi Diablo, Cosmic Wise and Why Not Wayne collided on the first turn checking Feikuai Zack, Ella's Cruising, Mi Diablo, Bruce Tycoon, Cosmic Wise, Why Not Wayne and Good Judge Buddy. Cosmic Wise checked off Ella's Cruising on the second turn. Bruce Tycoon checked off Ella's Cruising on the second turn. Bruce Tycoon checked off Morningside entering the back straight. Mi Diablo and Good Judge Buddy collided approaching the home turn checking Good Judge Buddy. Morningside eased approaching the home turn. Feikuai Zack and Morningside collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Bravo, the handler of the greyhound Morningside regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Morningside was vetted after the event and re-vetted following event 9.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Morningside with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Bravo pleaded guilty to the charge, Morningside was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.
