Stewards spoke to K. Greenough, representative of the greyhound Shelby Thunder regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced (11 Dec 2014).  Mr. Greenough advised Stewards that the greyhound was new to their kennel.

We Are Geelong was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left paw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Allen Quarian was a late scratching at 10.21am due to injury (GAR23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Conspiracy and Young Hawke were slow to begin.  Belena Jake, Riley Boy and Inventor collided soon after the start, checking Riley Boy.  Inventor and Dyna Malaise collided on the first turn, checking Inventor and Riley Boy.
