The race was hand-timed at 32:28 due to a computer problem, which resulted in the computer timing mechanism not activating.  There was no beam time recorded.

Miss Shirleen and Small One were slow to begin.  Upset Boy checked off Six Green Thumbs soon after the start.  Old Jock, Manila Express and Acola Rosebud collided on the first turn, checking Old Jock and severely checking Manila Express, Miss Shirleen and Small One.

Manila Express was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Upset Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained post-race stress, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Starbright Solar was quick to begin.  Rowdy Richard was slow to begin.  Supersonic Bob checked off Iroquois Souljah soon after the start.  Rowdy Richard checked off Time Taker on the first turn.  Lynlaw Harvey and Nevada Triangle collided approaching the home turn, checking Nevada Triangle, Lynlaw Harvey and Why Not Sue.  Lynlaw Harvey and Why Not Sue collided in the home straight.  Why Not Sue, Lynlaw Harvey and Nevada Triangle collided in the home straight, checking all three greyhounds.

H Hartigan, trainer of Mechatronic redeclared a new weight of 35.2 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Mechatronic last raced at 34.0 kg.

Track Curator,  D Faull advised stewards that the track was lightly harrowed on Thursday 2nd July, 2015.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Gadga trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 30.4 kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.34, the greyhound beaten by a margin of four lengths. Gadga was Cleared.
