A pre race sample was taken from Tikanni Gold.

Destini Seajewel and Tikanni Gold collided soon after the start.  Tikanni Gold checked off Talzanna approaching the first turn.  Destini Seajewel raced wided in the home straight.

Tikanni Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound the sustained soreness to the left hip.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Destini Seajewel– unplaced in  the event.

A sample was taken from Frisco Liz - winner of the event.

Mahjong Sky and Senni Richard collided soon after the start, checking Senni Richard.  Mahlo Hero and Rangiora collided approaching the first turn, checking Rangiora.  Rangiora crossed to the outside on the home turn, checking Senni Richard.  Mahlo Hero veered in and marred Mahjong Sky in the home straight.

Mahlo Hero was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. John Vassallo, the trainer of the greyhound Mahlo Hero regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mahlo Hero with marring. Mr. Vassallo pleaded guilty to the charge,  Mahlo Hero was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Rangiora - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Gigliotti, the trainer of Simply Good regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Simply Good last raced on 9th March, 2016. Mr. Gigliotti stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Miss Juddy was slow to begin.  Satisfy and Miss Juddy collided on the first turn, checking Satisfy.  Kinloch Monty and Miss Juddy collided approaching the home turn, checking Kinloch Monty.

Amari was very slow to begin (4 Lengths).  Mahjong Heat checked off Ginza Lion on the first turn. Panther Grit raced wide throughout the event.

A sample was taken from Rayvon - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Hodgson, the trainer of Superior Jethro regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Superior Jethro last raced on 3rd April, 2016.  Mr. Hodgson stated that the greyhound was new to the kennels.

Zakarri checked off Rusty Cove soon after the start.  Pure Cascade and Sketchy Becca collided soon after the start. Solitary and Pure Cascade collded approaching the first turn, checking Pure Cascade and Sketchy Becca.  Zakarri, Rusty Cove and Solitary collided on the first turn, checking Rusty Cove and Pure Cascade.  Zakarri and Solitary collided several times approachng the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Amy Farar Fowler.

Tye Chilly and Dynamic Amus were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Amy Farar Fowler and Hameshaa collided approaching the first turn.  Amy Farar Fowler, Hameshaa and Tye Chilly collided on the first turn.  Tye Chilly and Dynamic Amus collided several times approaching the home turn and in the home straight.
