Mr. B. Shillington, the handler of Allen Yobo declared a new weight of 38.5 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Allen Yobo last raced at 37.4 kg's.
A pre race sample was taken from Pee Dee.
Skipalong Kelly was slow to begin. Dee Don Diego and Look's Like Tom collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Allen Yobo, Yes Sarge and Redfin Fozz collided approaching the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Allen Yobo galloped on the heels of Ruby Cabang on the first turn, checking Allen Yobo, Ruby Cabang and Yes Sarge. Skipalong Kelly raced wide on the home turn. Ruby Cabang crossed to the rail approaching the winning post.
A sample was taken from Allen Yobo - second placed in the event.
