Steward's Report
Sacramento Sal was quick to begin. Amelia Christa, Jailor Bale and Lion Rebel were slow to begin. Midnight Flynn and Quantum Bale collided soon after the start. Quantum Bale checked off Allen Terminator approaching the first turn. Quantum Bale, Amelia Christa, Jailor Bale and Lion Rebel collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Flynn checked off Allen Terminator approaching the first turn and collided with Quantum Bale, checking Quantum Bale, Amelia Christa and Jailor Bale. Amelia Christa and Jailor Bale collided approaching the first turn. Quantum Bale checked off Lion Rebel approaching the second turn. Amelia Christa checked off Jailor Bale approaching the second turn. Quantum Bale and Jailor Bale collided on the third turn, checking Quantum Bale. Lion Rebel marred the running of Allen Terminator in the home straight.
Lion Rebel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right shin soreness, left pencil and right calf injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr A.Karabitsakos the trainer of the greyhound Lion Rebel regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Lion Rebel with marring. Mr Karabitsakos pleaded guilty to the charge, Lion Rebel was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 28 days (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
