Black Train was quick to begin.  Amaroo Gonzales was slow to begin.  Miss Who and Wild Angel collided soon after the start checking Amaroo Gonzales.  Rockin' Roller, Kerrie Kerry, Miss Who and Wild Angel collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Rockin' Roller, Kerrie Kerry and Miss Who collided entering the back straight checking Kerrie Kerry and severley checking Rockin' Roller. Rockin' Roller contacted the running rail in the back straight. Amaroo Gonzales raced wide in the back straight.  Kev's Choice was checked off Amaroo Gonzales on the home turn. Miss Who and Wild Angel collided on the home turn.

Rockin' Roller was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion and bruising to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Franklin the representative of Buckle Up Mauve regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Buckle Up Mauve last raced on 03/03/16.  Mr. Franklin stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured right front toe.  Mr. M. Franklin declared a new weight of 26.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Buckle Up Mauve last raced at 28.5kg.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Jones the representative of Sage Jay regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sage Jay last raced on 11/03/16.  Mrs. Jones stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured left ulnar.

Aston Noir and Sage Jay were quick to begin.  Ava's Shadow, Mudslinger and Brindle Audrey were slow to begin.  Ava's Shadow, Mudslinger and Brindle Audrey collided on the first turn checking Mudslinger and severley checking Brindle Audrey.  Mudslinger and Buckle Up Mauve collided on the second turn checking Mudslinger which stumbled.  Sage Jay faltered on the second turn and lost ground.  Aston Noir raced wide on the home turn.

Sage Jay was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7 it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist and left metatarsals, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Lord Somersby was quick to begin.  Collinda Warrior was slow to begin.  Lord Somersby crossed out soon after the start checking Pink Rocket.  It's My Secret was checked off There's Steamy soon after the start.  There's Steamy and Johnny Bullet collided soon after the start checking Johnny Bullet.  Johnny Bullet crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking It's My Secret, There's Steamy, Pink Rocket and Collinda Warrior.  Lord Somersby was checked off Jax Mikado on the first turn, Lord Somersby stumbled as a result and raced wide.  Pink Rocket and It's My Secret collided on the first turn checking It's My Secret which raced wide.  Lord Somersby faltered entering the back straight and lost ground.

Lord Somersby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hamstring, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
