Crusader and Lars Boy were quick to begin.  Gats Pacino and Rahn collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Rahn.  Lars Boy crossed to the rail on the first turn and collided with Barham Millich checking Lars Boy, Hurricane Craig and Iron Hippy, severely checking Gats Pacino, Rahn and Johnny Wolf and causing Barham Millich to fall, Iron Hippy raced wide as a result.  Johnny Wolf and Hurricane Craig collided entering the home straight.  Iron Hippy and Hurricane Craig collided in the home straight.

Barham Millich was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a superficial skin cut on a right hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.

Ultimate Conor trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 31.7kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.16 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Ultimate Conor was cleared 

Archie Jack trialled over 525 metres from box 6, weight 34.8kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 30.95 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.25 lengths. Archie Jack was not cleared. 

El Tee Hawk trialled over 525 metres from box 1, weight 33.1kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 30.95 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 28.5 lengths. El Tee Hawk was not cleared.
