Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Marshman, the trainer of Shotgun Doll regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Shotgun Doll last raced on 16th March, 2016. Mr. Marshman stated that the greyhound was returning from a hock injury. 

Shotgun Doll and Kirabilli Lucy were quick to begin. Jemma's Fantasy and Geordie's Wish collided soon after the start, checking Jemma's Fantasy. Fab Dream and Burch Day collided approaching the first turn. Fab Dream contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, severely checking Burch Day as a result. Kirabilli Lucy faltered on the first turn and pulled up. Fab Dream checked off Geordie's Wish approaching the home turn. Fab Dream and Geordie's Wish collided in the home straight, checking Fab Dream.

Kirabilli Lucy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Fab Dream was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right back leg. No stand down period was imposed. 

Natty Allen was quick to begin. Miss Lumens was slow to begin. Crash Reality, Cairnlea Shazza and To The Choppar collided soon after the start, checking Cairnlea Shazza. Crash Reality, To The Choppar, Djarragun and Bopa Allen collided on the first turn, checking To The Choppar and Djarragun. Fiery Felix checked off Natty Allen in the home straight.

Media Street and Ocean Bay collided on the first turn. Cudgee's Milo crossed to the rail approaching the home turn, severely checking Ocean Bay and Media Street. Ocean Bay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left front and left back legs. No stand down period was imposed.

Boston Shuffle was a late scratching at 1:47pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Carve and Fabregas Lara were slow to begin. Jasmine Lilly and Rampaging Rosie collided soon after the start, checking Jasmine Lilly. 

Steward’s issued a warning to Mr. J. Barnes, the trainer of Fabregas Lara regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Berry Bling was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right foreleg, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Mudslinger was a late scratching at 2:17pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Robyn's Boy was slow to begin. Jarvis Rhode, Fabrawhat, Sea Mist and Dynamic Couldron collided approaching the first turn, checking Fabrawhat. Jarvis Rhode and Saint Elite collided on the first turn, checking Jarvis Rhode and Fabrawhat. Fabrawhat faltered in the home straight and pulled up. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Ward, the trainer of the greyhound Fabrawhat regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Fabrawhat was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right back paw. No stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Fabrawhat with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Fabrawhat was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Suspicious Pete and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:24pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. K. Lloyd was fined the sum of $100.

L. Harrowfield trainer of Banana Blanket declared a new weight of 29.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Banana Blanket last raced at 31.3kg.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Snow Boots trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 35.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.38, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.75 lengths. Snow Boots was Not Cleared.
