Stewards spoke to Mr P McColl, trainer of the greyhound Bubble Has Burst which had not raced since 16 March 2016. Mr McColl stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after recovering from a hip injury.

Ring London, Billy Ray Bunter, Surf's Magic and Twilight Butch collided in the back straight checking Twilight Butch. Parie Shiraz and Split Chic collided on the second turn. Tommy Longstride checked off Wet Feet approaching the home turn. Wet Feet and Chabay Laray collided on the home turn. Wilora and Ariki Whero collided entering the home straight. Cathay Princess was quick to begin. Beksun was slow to begin. Dame Oregano crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Bekele and Cathay Princess. Vintage Queen, Flyin' Les Fergi and Cullquin Peachy collided on the first turn. Beksun galloped on the heels of Flyin' Les Fergi entering the back straight. Flyin' Les Fergi and Dortmunder collided in the back straight. Cullquin Peachy and Cathay Princess collided approaching the second turn. Dame Oregano and Vintage Queen collided on the second turn. Flyin' Les Fergi and Dortmunder collided approaching the home turn checking Dortmunder. Cullquin Peachy and Vintage Queen collided approaching the winning post.

Cathay Princess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left deltoid muscle and the left hip. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Marmion Star, Obladi Oblada and Faithful Dynasty collided soon after the start checking Faithful Dynasty and Marmion Star. Wilma's Thunder and Velvet Hammer collided in the back straight and approaching the second turn. All Inn Together and Midfield Maestro collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post. 

Wilma's Thunder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.

A sample was taken from Charley Arabali, winner of the event.

Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer Mr T. Duncan and Dr James Chadwick, All Inn Rum was a late scratching at 1.51pm due to a suspected fractured neck sustained in a paddock accident just prior to Mr Duncan loading the greyhounds for todays meeting. As a result of the injury sustained, the greyhound was subsequently euthanised.

A pre-race sample was taken from Woomera upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Woomera and Gunmetal Lad collided soon after the start checking Woomera. Midnight Outlaw checked off Kripke approaching the first turn. Gunmetal Lad and Kripke collided on the first turn. Midnight Outlaw and Woomera collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Kripke checked off Selynya Kev approaching the home turn.

Mr. Alfie and Nitro Power were slow to begin. Slipaway Simba, Pason Sander and Tzar Norma collided on the first turn checking Pason Sander. Pason Sander and Bigshow Jethro collided on the first turn checking Pason Sander, Bigshow Jethro, Nitro Power and Faith No Fear. Slipaway Simba and Tzar Norma collided entering the back straight checking Slipaway Simba. Mr. Alfie, Slipawaya Simba and Bigshow Jethro collided approaching the second turn checking Slipaway Simba. Nitro Power and Pason Sander collided on the second turn. Nitro Power and Faith No Fear collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Slipaway Simba brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.

Faith No Fear was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left fore foot. A stand down period of 14 days was sustained.

Stewards spoke to Mrs B Pell, trainer of the greyhound Minnesota which had not raced since 3 March 2016. Mrs Pell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season. 

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Lure Driver Mr. D. Pell did not act in any official capacity for this event.

A sample was taken from Linda's Gift, winner of the event. 

Jayded Mia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left groin. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Remember Train was slow to begin. Hanga checked off Quick Collision on the first turn. All Inn Ready, Crymelon Jato and Sunset Eclipse collided approaching the home turn checking All Inn Ready and severely checking Crymelon Jato and Sunset Eclipse. Sunset Eclipse and Remember Train raced wide in the home straight. 

Hanga was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hip. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Hotlips Matilda was quick to begin. Mental Burst and Eaglehawk Beffa collided soon after the start checking Mental Burst. Lana Lass, Eaglehawk Beffa and Princess Strike collided entering the back straight and in the back straight. Hotlips Matilda, Princess Strike, Eaglehawk Beffa and Lana Lass collided on the second turn severely checking Eaglehawk Beffa and Princess Strike.

Princess Strike was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both groin. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Pre-race samples were taken from Frame History and Baroness Jill upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Tzar Knight and Baroness Jill collided soon after the start. Imposing Flame, Frame History and Little Horey's collided on the first turn checking Little Horey's Little Horey's checked off Baroness Jill entering the home straight. Frame History and Who's That Hook collided in the home straight.

Tzar Knight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and a left monkey muscle tear. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
