Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Road Driller upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre race sample was taken from Danger Bale.
Winterstein was quick to begin. Danger Bale and Road Driller were slow to begin. Hula Hustler went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Ima Big Unit, Zipping Comet and Danger Bale collided approaching the first turn. Division Dour, Lady Cyclops and Ima Big Unit collided on the first turn, checking Lady Cyclops. Lady Cyclops, Ima Big Unit and Zipping Comet collided approaching the second turn. Ima Big Unit checked off Zipping Comet approaching the third turn. Lady Cyclops and Zipping Comet collided several times approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
A sample was taken from Winterstein - the winner of the event.
Ima Big Unit was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hock and right groin, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
