Steward's Report

Mr. R.Britton trainer of Zipping Basil redeclared a new weight of 32.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Zipping Basil last raced at 31.2kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Poacher Flash.

It's A Steal was slow to begin.  Manbo Man, Our Shiraz and Cosmic Vee Bee collided soon after the start.  It's A Steal, Manbo Man, Our Shiraz and Poacher Flash collided on the first turn checking Our Shiraz.  Manbo Man checked off Poacher Flash approaching the second turn.  It's A Steal and Mademoiselle Sox collided on the third turn checking Mademoiselle Sox.  Cosmic Vee Bee checked off Naturally Curly approaching the home turn.  Naturally Curly and Cosmic Vee Bee collided on the home turn checking Naturally Curly.

Naturally Curly, which tired over the concluding stages of the event, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a back strain.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
