Eumeralla Donny, Just Hold On and Zelemar Storm were slow to begin.  Big Wolt crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Zelemar Storm.  Blazing Apache crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Claremorris and Fear Me Roar collided several times approaching the 200m mark.  Claremorris and Zelemar Storm collided approaching the 100m mark, checking Claremorris.  Eumeralla Donny and Just Hold On collided approaching the 50m mark, checking Just Hold On.

Disco Diamon was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Cristal Surf and Hotlips Matilda collided at the 250m mark, checking Hotlips Matilda.  Cristal Surf checked off Patjack Lomar approaching the 200m mark.  Disco Diamond and Cristal Surf collided approaching the 150m mark.  Cristal Surf and Patjack Lomar collided approaching the 150m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Hotlips Matilda tailed off at the 50m mark.

Hotlips Matilda was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiger Chien went up with the lids at boxrise and was slow to begin (3 lenghts).  Pully George and Need's Luck were slow to begin.  Need's Luck checked off Mercury Benz soon after the start.  Pully George stumbled soon after the start.  Stadium dancer and Mercury Benz  collided soon after the start, checking Stadium Dancer.  Devil's Dance and Mick Rydian collided approaching the 250m mark.  Mick Rydian, Mincey Moo and Devil's Dance collided approaching the 200m mark.  Devil's Dance checked off Mincey Moo at the 200m mark, checking Mick Rydian.  Devil's Dance and Mick Rydian collided at the 50m mark.

F Toth, trainer of Plaza Girl redeclared a new weight of 26.6kgs for the greyhound in accordanec with GAR 39(2).  Plaza Girl last raced at 25.2kgs.

Plaza Girl was slow to being.  Ice Cognac crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Milly O'Muffin, Saint Jane and Derby Girl.  Derby Girl, Saint Jane and Milly O'Muffin collided approaching the 200m mark.  Plaza Girl checked off Ice Cognac approaching the 50m mark.

Saint Jane was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hock, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Survivor Sal and Blue To Bits collided soon after the start, checking Blue To Bits.  Kasai Warrior and All Mighty One collided soon after the start, checking Kasai Warrior.  All Mighty One and Gifted Man collided approaching the 300m mark.  Blue To Bits and Gifted Man collided at the 200m mark.

Call Me Scary was slow to begin.  Call Me Scary, Dundee Toro, Roman Baroque, Dee Plane Wayne and Tekki Tremor collided at the 300m mark.  Roman Baroque, Dee Plane Wayne, Tekki Tremor and Sultan Of Swing collided at the 150m mark.  Call Me Scary and Roman Baroque collided at the 50m mark.

My Baby Porscha was quick to begin.  Lavie Belle and Buckle Up Angus collided soon after the start.  Topper Harley, Lavie Belle and Buckle Up Angus collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Paselina and Lavie Belle.  Lavie Belle and Buckle Up Angus collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Lavie Belle.  Paselina checked off Caf Pow approaching the 150m mark.  Paselina and My Baby Porscha collided approaching the 50m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Caf Pow eased approaching the winning post.

Caf Pow was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained neck soreness and likely cramping, a 5 day stand down period was imposed..

Just Like Paluza, Pappa Gallo and Seeya Saturday was quick to begin.  Reen's Fabian, Blingtastic and Big Dunc collided soon after the start, severely checking all three greyhounds.  Just Like Paluza crossed to the outside, checking Pappa Gallo, from the 300m mark until the 225m mark.  Big Dunc checked off Classy Boy approaching the 150m mark.

Mutual Choice was a late scratching at 8.41am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre race sample was taken from Fireman Johnny.

Slick John and Hardaway Drifter were quick to begin.  Hondo Jake stumbled soon after the start, checking Fireman Johnny.  Fireman Johnny and Slick John collided soon after the start, checking Fireman Johnny.  It's Iron Hide, Hondo Jake and Prince Nando collided approaching the 300m mark, and again approaching the 250m mark, checking all three greyhounds.  Prince Nando and Slick John collided approaching the 150m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Prince Nando and Slick John collided approaching the 100m mark, checking Prince Nando and It's Iron Hide.

Stewards noted that the muzzle on It's Iron Hide became dislodged during the race.

Stewards spoke to G Selkrig and reminded him of his responsibility to provide a catcher for Slick John.

W Methven, trainer of Bee Cee Grommet redeclared a new weight of 29.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Bee Cee Grommet last raced at 30.3kgs.

Oh Lele Peter was slow to begin.  Dignity Diamond, Bee Cee Grommet and Under Taker collided soon after the start, checking Bee Cee Grommet. Star Lomar and Shachar Magic collided soon after the start, checking Bee Cee Grommet.  Star Lomar and Shachar Magic collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Ruby's Entity checked off Queen Elsa soon after the start.  Star Lomar and Shachar Magic collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Star Lomar and severely checking Shachar Magic.  Star Lomar and Bee Cee Grommet collided approaching the winning post.

Star Lomar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind leg.   No stand down period was imposed.

N Tapp, trainer of Custom Fitted redeclared a new weight of 32.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Custom Fitted last raced at 34kgs.

Katcrisalli was slow to begin.  Marmion Star was quick to begin.  Marmion Star and Custom Fitted collided approaching the 250m mark.  Bekim Echo and Enticed State collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Bekim Echo.  Katcrisalli checked off Snowy Benz approaching the 250m mark.

Lektra Kirky, Stop Senoring and Il Signo were slow to begin.  Aston Agile went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Stop Senoring and Lektra Kirky collided at the 200m mark, checking Lektra Kirky which stumbled as a result.
