Steward's Report
Flash Abbey, La Vista Express and Sinaloa Icon were quick to begin. Zorrilla and Hooked On Yubari were slow to begin.
La Vista Express (marred Flash Abbey in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind metatarsal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Daniel Boots regarding La Vista Express’ racing manners the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, La Vista Express was charged with marring. Mr. Boots pleaded guilty to the charge. La Vista Express was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
