Yeah The Boy was slow to begin.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Lektra Rodney - the winner of the event.
Cold That Night (visibly eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Beattie regarding Cold That Night's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Cold That Night was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Beattie pleaded guilty to the charge. Cold That Night was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
