Braston Miss and My Mate Hux were quick to begin. Lightning Legs and Hello Cooper were slow to begin.
My Mate Hux and Lightning Legs raced wide in the home straight.
Yum Cha Mac (failed to pursure the lure approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Ms. Natalie Mckay declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined.
Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Mckay regarding Yum Cha Mac’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Yum Cha Mac was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Mckay pleaded guilty to the charge. Yum Cha Mac was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
