Kip Lang (turned its head to the outside approaching the home turn and marred Like Blaze) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Clayton King regarding Kip Lang’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Kip Lang was charged with marring. Mr. King pleaded guilty to the charge. Kip Lang was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
