Steward's Report
Lenaghan – Late scratching at 10:30am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a right hind inguinal laceration. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Michael Bewley in relation to the injury and reminded him of his responsibilities, pursuant to GAR 76(1)(a), to conduct a thorough examination of greyhounds prior to the appointed scratching time to ensure they are presented free from injury.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Rowdy's Beast.
Search History was quick to begin. Boot A Dream was slow to begin.
Boot A Dream (faltered and tailed off at the 200m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left gracilis injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
